Oprah Talks To Daniel Pink

I was looking through the new December issue of O Magazine and I thought this interview was very interesting. Are you a left or right brained person? Actually, I always have a hard time remembering which is which...does that make me a lame brain? Probably!

Anyway, I thought it was very logical and something that as parents and grandparents of young children we could continue to encourage the artistic side of our children not only for their enrichment but possibly for their very livelihood as adults. Anyway, here is a little teaser to help entice you to take a peek at this article.

"Your left brain is logical, linear, by-the-numbers; the right side is creative, artistic, empathetic. Oprah talks with Daniel Pink about his groundbreaking book, A Whole New Mind, and explores how right-brain thinkers are wired for 21st-century success....
A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future, by business and technology writer Daniel Pink. Daniel, a former chief speechwriter for Vice President Al Gore, presents a convincing argument that our country is entering a new era—the so-called Conceptual Age—during which right-brained skills such as design and storytelling will become far more crucial than traditionally left-brained skills such as accounting and computer programming. "

This makes a lot of sense to my left brain and causes a lot of excitement in my right brain!

I will have to get that book. Can you imagine the cost of ordering that many books? Sheesh! I hope those graduates appreciated the gesture.

Bonnie, come by my blog when you get a chance. I have an award for you.

Hugs,
Deanna :)
