How to Make a Grown Man Cry!

Jen asked her Daddy and Lowell to help her figure out a way Hazel can get around. She is a typical 2 year old and ready to do some boot scootin' around on her own. The Physical Therapist had brought her a little belly board but that just didn't work so... look what the guys made for her! They spent the better part of the day in Chris' garage, Santa's new workshop! This scooter sits 1/4 inch above the floor and has recessed wheels. She should be able to go where she wants once she learns how to use it. This is life changing for our little Hazie!

She gets on.....

She Ponders....

She's Feelin' The Love
And...
She Gets it!

Below is our attempt to record this on video...
tear-filled eyes don't do it so well.

Can you guess now why I love my husband
so much and our sons, Chris and Lowell?

This should be entitled "The Beginning!"

"WOW !!! Pretty amazing !!! What a beautiful doll she is !!! This has to be a very exciting day in her life. Great Guys with some great minds that are probably already at work trying to improve the prototype. IT will sure make a difference in Hazels life. When she figures it out, there will be no stopping her, especially on the hard floors."

Amazing. Dave

Okay now I am crying too. What a sweet girl and so lucky to have such great parents and supportive family. Honestly, I know she has struggled and will struggle but she is so blessed. There is no question in my mind that she was sent to this family for her benefit and ours!

Hi Bonnie,
That is so neat and I just know that she is gonna be scooting all over the house soon. what a brilliant bunch of men you have there! I bet there was a dry eye in the house!
You are right this is just the beginning, this will open up a lot of new things to Hazie that you couldn't have experienced before. Bet her parents are beside themselves with joy.
Well, you are one day closer to Italy!! Know you are excited girl!
I am still working on Christmas decorating. I felt better yesterday but worse today. I just got up from a 2 hr. nap and trying to decide how I feel. I have taken everything I have seen in prevention magazine that will help you avoid a cold or flu. Chocolate for the magnesium, constantly drinking tea for something that is in it, Vitamin c and B-complex, cause they boost your immunity and then it said to eat yogurt or take
acidopolus, so I did that and yesterday I also took a zyrtec.
Hope this goes soon, we have a 50 yrs. anniversary party for some dear friends on Sat. in Tampa that we really want to go to. so send up some prayers for me hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Thanks for posting the video mom! You got some good shots of her on it too! She's getting better at it each day. She's with Shannon today so she hasn't been on yet. We'll get her on this afternoon though!

Thanks so much to the men in my life! She'll never want for great 'hacks' to make her life a little easier!

Brilliant, sweet, and beautiful! Now it just needs to be patented. I am sure there are so many children that could benefit from this invention!!!

Okay, there is some great thinking going on in your family. What a wonderful contraption, I agree this could be the beginning of something wonderful for lots of children with transportation limitations. What a sweet video of Hazel on her new "sweet ride". I loved it. Paint that thing RED! (lead-free paint, of course). Your soaps will ship Thursday or Friday (I am still waiting on labels, but have been promised they will be ready by tomorrow). If I have to I will ship overnight so you can get them before you leave. When is the departure date exactly?
